Although the way you start installation and the overall process is very similar for all versions of windows , But some variation in the setup program depending upon which version of windows you choose. To inatall windows:
1: Verify that your hardware meets the requirements for your version of windows.
2: Access the windows installation source files:-
* As if you are installing from a network installation source and connect the computer to the network and open the share that contains the installation source files.
3: Run the setup program:
- If you are installing from compact disc , the setup program should launch automatically.
- If you need to launch thev program manually, so you can open the CD-DVD-ROM or a the installation source files share. Run setup.exe from the root folder.
For Windows 7:
- If you are installing from DVD the autorun program should launch automatically . Click Run setup.exe to start the setup program.
- If you need to launch thev program manually, so you can open the CD-DVD-ROM or a the installation source files share. Run setup.exe from the root folder.
4. Complete the install windows or setup wizard.
- Select the appropriate installation options for your system.
- Enter the product key and accept the license.
- Prepare the disks for installation by partitioning and formatting the drive.
5: For Windows XP, complete the post installation steps:
- Select the setting for protecting windows.
- Select a choice for product activation.
- Enter names for any local user accounts you want to create.
6: Log on to windows and connect to windows Update and install any current service packs or critical security updates.
