How To setting Broadband internet connection proxy

If you are  considering implementing a proxy server for HTTP and one foe FTP on your local network. You would like to understand how to configure proxy setting , web broswers are aware of the proxy on both local and dial-up connections.

LAN proxy setting

1:Choose start— All programs— internet  explorer.

2. Choose tools--- internet option.

3: select  the connections tab.

4. click Lan settings.

5. in the Local area network (LAN) Setting dialog box, in the automatic configuration section, check the use a proxy serve for your Lan check box.

6: You can enter a single proxy address. Click advanced.

7. The proxy setting dialog box enables you to configure separate proxies. Click cancel twice.

FTP Proxy server

1.      Verify that broadband connection is selected and click setting.

2.      In the broadband connection setting dialog box , check the use a proxy server for this connection check box.

3.      In the proxy server section click advanced.

4.      In the proxy setting dialog box, in the proxy address to use column. In the FTPtext box. Click and type ftp-proxy.classnet.

5.      In the port clumn, next to the FTP text box, type 8080.

6.      Click ok three times to save the setting.

7.      Close internet explorer.
