How to Set up internt connection in windows

To set up an internet connection in windows 7

1.      Log on as a local administrator.

2.      If you will create a dial up account, install a modem.

3.      Create a new a connection object.

a.      In the control panel click the network and internet link.

b.      Click the network and sharing center link.

c.        In the change your networking setting section, click the set up a new connection or network link.

d.      In the set up a connection or network wizard on the choose a connection option page, select the connect to the internet option and click next .

e.      On the how do you want to connect page,select one of the following:

·         Wireless if you want to connect through a wireless modem.

·         Broadband (PPPoE) if you have a cable or DSL modem.

·         Dial up if you have a dial up modem.

4.      Follow the prompts to set up the connection type you select.

5.      Testing the connection by browsing to a website.
